An area of my wardrobe I’ve been ignoring are pocket squares. They are not frequently talked about as most of the discussion when it comes to accessories revolves around neckties. I decided I’ve been ignoring pocket squares for far too long and that it’s time to up my game. Aside from the design, hand-rolled edges are what every menswear enthusiast looks for in a pocket square. This highly sought after feature is only offered by a few and finding them at a reasonable price even harder.

Enter Kent Wang. It is a small haberdasher founded in 2007 and is based in Austin, Texas. They are dedicated to providing high quality and classic menswear items at reasonable prices. Their most popular offering are their hand-rolled pocket squares that are priced between $20 and $45. That’s considered a bargain amongst menswear enthusiasts and has made this haberdasher quite popular in recent years. Their unique designs, hand-rolled edges and reasonable prices compelled me to buy pocket squares from them.

I bought two silk pocket squares from Kent Wang using GCASH American Express Virtual Pay. The first was a blue ancient madder paisley ($45) and the second was an Andy Warhol-inspired burgundy cat ($35). My reason for choosing the designs is the former is a classic while the latter shows my love for cats. Shipping-wise, Texas is near California so the cost was only $1 and within a few days it arrived at My Shopping Box. I authorized the shipment and after a few more days it was delivered to my office. The whole process of buying it using GCASH American Express Virtual Pay and shipping with My Shopping Box was quick and painless.

Kent Wang’s pocket squares measure 12 x 12″ which is on the small side as most are 16 x 16″. The silk twill and printing process give them a dry hand and a slightly faded, matte finish. The silk screen printing seamlessly blends into the silk giving richness and vibrancy to the colors. The weight is just right; not too thin nor heavy. The hand-rolled edges give the pocket square life to an otherwise flat piece of silk cloth. If you’re looking for a solid addition to your wardrobe that offers terrific value look no further than pocket squares from Kent Wang.
